Pacific Laser History
Roger Dornbush started the Western Regional Service Center in his garage in Woodland CA. for Laser Alignmnet Inc. whose headquarters were in Grand Rapids Michigan.
It was Jack DeWit that the two partners started Pacific Laser Co. in July of 1984. The rear of suite A in the current building was rented at first.
Two years later the present location, suit D, was purchased and moved into. By 1995 PLI had grown to 12 employees and cover the California Central Valley from Visalia to Redding, Santa Rosa and the North Coast, also the Central Coast - Paso Robles down to Santa Maria.
In the early 2000s Pacific Laser & GPS started working with Auto Farm, pioneers in RTK GPS steering for precision agriculture.
In 2002 Laser Alignment, the main supplier of laser products, was brought out by Lecia Geosystems, bringing in new GPS technology for construction.
